23rd Annual International Conference on American Studies on May 19-21, 2022, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Institute of American Studies and the Georgian Association for American Studies will hold the 23rd Annual International Conference on American Studies. The 2022 Conference is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and the United States of America.

The conference on American Studies is traditionally hosted by Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. The goal of the Tbilisi State University Institute of American Studies and the Georgian Association for the Study of America is to gather as wide a range of reports as possible within the discipline of American Studies. The topics are traditionally broad: History, Politics, Education, Religion, Architecture, Literature, Art, Philosophy, Mass Media, Law, Economics, Social and Women’s Issues, Science and Technology, etc. The Organizing Committee welcomes reports on a variety of topics.

The format of the conference involves working in different field sections and creating a discussion environment.

TSU Institute of American Studies and the Georgian Association for American Studies publish outstanding papers presented at the conference in the periodical Issues of American Studies.

The format of the conference will be clarified based on the epidemiological situation.

In the event that a speaker fails to attend the conference, he or she must notify the Organizing Committee no later than May 5, 2022, so that changes can be made to the conference program.
