An online working meeting of the Rector’s Council of Higher Education Institutions Authorized in Georgia was held under the chairmanship of Mikheil Chkhenkeli – the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia.
On the Rectors’ Council there were considered two key issues: Ensuring the safety of university spaces in accordance with health recommendations, including a favorable policy for the training laboratories, the payment of tuition fees and internal examination centers.
Mikheil Chkhenkeli thanked the rectors of the universities for their successful mobilization of resources in the crisis situation in the shortest possible time and for the successful implementation of distance learning.
The Minister said that some preparatory work has been carried out in the higher education institutions for the 6th stage of the restriction easing in accordance with the recommendations developed and approved by the Ministry of Health.
