January 27, 2022 in Brussels (Belgium) European Association of European Universities Online Conference: A European Strategy for Universities and System Level Reforms: Quo Vadis? Which aims to discuss the interaction of European policies and programs with national reforms, leading to the transformation of the system by 2030.

The conference was attended by 1,800 representatives from 71 EU member and non-EU countries – European policy makers, representatives of ministries, those interested in higher education and its research, representatives of higher education institutions, including the New Higher Education Institute – NEWUNI – Head of Quality Assurance Service, Affiliate Professor Natia Gogolauri and Head of International Relations, Affiliate Professor Nana Tsikhistavi.One issue was on the agenda of the conference – a new European strategy developed by the European Commission for European universities, which provides for cooperation between institutions, synergies in joint projects and scientific work.The above-mentioned strategy has been developed for 3 years and it also takes into account the issues of permanent training of adults and cooperation with non-formal education. The opinion was expressed that the implementation of the strategy activities should take place in the missions of the universities, in the policy and strategy documents, in the action plans.
