30 years have passed since the events of 9 April 1989.
April 9, 1989 was a day of great tragedy and also a great victory!
With organization of Association of Student Organizations of Georgia (SOA) representatives of more
than 20 university student self-governments met at Rustaveli Avenue, with the Memorial of April 9,
where they showed their respect toward the people killed in 1989, during the Soviet regime's brutal
crowd dispersal, the majority of who were young people.
These people are heroes, fighting for freedom and independence of their country.
Students remember 9 April!
