In recent days, disinformation has been spreading on social networks and in the media, as if the suspension of registration in the European Register of Independent Agencies for Quality Improvement in Higher Education (EQAR) poses a threat to the recognition of diplomas issued by Georgian higher education institutions or exchange programs. This does not correspond to reality.

According to the results of the open competition held for academic positions at the New Higher Education Institute – NEWUNI, by the decision of the Competition Commission and the order of the Rector, the following persons were elected to academic positions:

Applications are now open for the ERASMUS+ exchange program for academic staff mobility at the NEWUNI partner institution – the Romanian-American University of Niun (Romania). Affiliated personnel pursuing Bachelor’s degree programs in Tourism and Business Administration can participate in the competition.

A competition for participation in the Erasmus+ international exchange program is announced for students of the Faculty of Business, Law and Social Sciences of NEWUNI at the Vechta University (Germany).

Acceptance of documents for participation in the Erasmus+ scholarship program at the New Higher Education Institute – NEWUNI  partner Romanian-American University  (Romania) is announced. Students of the bachelor’s program of business administration of the Faculty of Business, Law and Social Sciences can participate in the competition.
The student will receive a monthly stipend of 850 euros during his studies at the Romanian-American University, and the program will cover his travel expenses (Georgia – Romania – Georgia).

Slovakia has announced scholarships for Georgian students in the 2024/2025 academic year/summer semester.
Students, university lecturers, researchers are able to apply for the scholarship; Students can also apply for travel funding.

New higher education Institute-NEWUNI students of Business Administration Bachelor’s Program: Nia Samkharadze, Temur Odishvili and Mariam Mskhvilidze, as well as students of International Relations Bachelor’s Program: Nino Machavariani and Mariam Lomidze within the framework of ERASMUS+ student credit-mobility at NEWUNI’s partner Vechta University (Germany) 2024-2025 will study in the winter semester with full funding.

On August 7, 2024, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the New Higher Education Institute – NEWUNI and Sias University (Xinzhou, Henan Province, China). The memorandum was signed by the rector of NEWUNI, Professor Tamar Gardapkhadze and the founder and chairman of the representative board of Sias University, Dr.  Shawn Chen. Partner universities will implement joint educational projects, promoting the mobility of students and academic/administrative staff within the framework of ERASMUS +.

On September 5, 2024, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the New Higher Education Institute – NEWUNI and Istanbul Marmara University (Turkey). The memorandum was signed by the Rector of NEWUNI, Professor Tamar Gardapkhadze, and the Rector of Istanbul Marmara University, Professor Mustafa Kurt.
Based on the memorandum, students and academic staff will have the opportunity to participate in joint projects, exchange programs, conferences, which will allow them to share knowledge, experience and improve their qualifications.
