On October 20, 2020, the annual conference “Tourism beyond Borders – 2020” in Florence was attended by representatives of 81 countries from World Cultural Heritage Organizations, travel companies, higher education institutions, including representatives of the New Higher Education Institute – Rector, Professor Tamar Gardapkhadze, Affiliated Prof. Nodar Grdzelishvili and Nana Tsikhistavi, Head of the International Relations Service.
The online conference was opened by Romualdo Del Bianco, President of Pablo Del Bianco, who spoke about the work of the Foundation, its specifics, the growth of the role of tourism around the world, the deepening of relations with many countries and institutions and more.
Pablo Del Bianco paid special attention to the New Higher Education Institute as one of the new and key partners, mentioned in a positive context the students of this Institute, wished them success in their involvement in the tourism movement of the foundation.
Pablo Del Bianco and other speakers – representatives and partners of the Foundation reviewed one of the most important successes of the Del Bianco Foundation – the online publication of a series of conference materials and interesting issues. In this publication among numerous of interesting proposals is published the the paperabout the development of religious tourism in Georgia by Prof. Tamar Gardapkhadze and the affiliated professor Nodar Grdzelishvili.
Within the framework of the conference, it is planned to deepen relations with partner organizations, work on new projects, prepare / offer special trainings for students and prepare for a new conference.
Due to known circumstances, it is true that the conference was held on the Internet, but this did not prevent communication and sharing of news.
